Brisbane (First Impressions and First Day)

Well, Brisbane is completely beautiful. COMPLETELY, more tropical than I thought, with all kinds of crazy trees and villa-type housing. Its really amazing and so laid back. Nobody seems upset or stressed. Just a complete "tomorrows another day" attitude.

Today Lorne took me on "City Cat" with Damien (a friend of his) which is a waterborn cab essentially. It travels along the Brisbane river, which cuts right through or "around" downtown Brisbane. After the amazing views we got from that, we went and enjoyed a meat pie...which is apparently VERY Aussie. To me it sounded like a Sunday dinner, but they were different and VERY good. I got Steak and Currie, reminded me of eating Indian food with Ashley, really good though. We ate it right in front of the man-made beach "South-bank" I think its called.

Anyway, so far its been a great day, haven't slept in many many hours though, its starting to get to me as we speak. But I'm off for now to experience some more and learn some more Aussie slang.

Peace, Love and Prayers!

Criickey (sp) you're actually in Oz. Sounds awesome so far. Seen any Kangaroo yet? Have you got the camera clicking? If you see Steve Irwin (crocodile hunter) say hi to him for me. Get some sleep and I'll talk to you later. Can you believe you're actually there? See ya.

Hi Adam:

I think I have the hang of this now. We sent one message that didn't even get to you and the second last night (here) is at the end of your first post.
Take a look there.

Wonderful to know you have arrived you have been in our prayers and almost hourly saying "I wonder where he is now".

Grandpa has the weather report for Brisbane until Aug 4 up on the fridge. Looks like the weather is great and that while you are tired, you are enjoying what you are seeing. Sounds like a beautiful place!

Great to hear from you. Looking forward to more updates - now that I know what I am doing.

Loads of Love

yes bro, glad to hear you made it in one piece. i can't wait for you to get back and hear what you have to say. i signed the lease today on mine and joels pad so you know the door is always open. i'm expecting a visit ASAP. remeber why you're there and never forget where you came from (i remember that night like it was yesterday) God is already there and he laid this path out a LONG time ago for you. you aren't bringing God to them, he's already there, but it's your job to open there eyes, just never close your own

peace, love and prayers
