In Darjeeling

WOW, I can't even begin to describe the majesty here, this place is so beautiful, much higher in the mountains than I thought, and deeper in the mountains as well. Its truly indescribable.
As for the people, the Indian heart is so amazing, so soft. The people are amazing and hospitible. We have connected with many many people so far. Almost too many. We came with no plans, just pioneering an area and getting a feel for it, and now we have too many ministries opportunities ahead. We will have to wait on God to see what ones we can persue! We already after 3 days have a bible study with 7-8 youth attending, we also have invites to many churches for ministry, preaching and worship. We have a possible opening to do a "mini" discipleship training school as well. Where we would gather the youth from all the churches and teach them each morning from the word on different subjects, introduce them to a deeper relationship with God where they will find revelation and then throughout the week teach them a drama. We will also pray and worship together. On the last day (friday) we will take them to the town square to practice this love and pray for people, worship, do the drama and evangelize. The youth are anywhere from 14 to 22 I'd say! Its an amazing opportunity.
India is full of people living in bondage, amazing people doing amazing things, lots of love. But they are seeking to do as many deeds possible to reach nirvana or heaven, or whatever state they are seeking after. They are in a bondage of religiousity, which can be common in the Christian church as well, but they are bound by fear and superstition as well, they don't know love and grace, and fear getting off track. If only the Indian heart could realize that the guilt and salvation they are seeking can only be found in Jesus!!! Thats my prayer...I hope to help God fulfill my own prayer!

Peace, Love and Prayers!

PS. Thanks for all your prayers for a safe journey, and thanks for your continued prayers, especially to my home church and the body I came from, much love and thanks!

Dear Adam:
Greetings from 1281 Dartmoor Street. Your visit to Darjeeling sounds exciting to say the least. We are of course anxious that you and your friends would move cautiously and with great discrestion when 'sharing our Christ' in a place maybe not as receptive to the Christian Gospel. I'm sure your leaders would guide you in this important matter.
Please be assured you are remembered every day at our family alter and in our own private prayers. Had a great time with your brother Grady who came over to watch the Toronto Maple Leaf's get taught a lesson in 'hockey' by a very powerful team, "Dalas Stars". The game doesn't tell the truth about itself - Dalas 2 - Tor 1.
Anyway, keep smiling and remember your are in "His Hands." Hallelujah!
Love and prayers,
Nana and Popa Marshall
