Free Kids Party

We had the kids party. We have seen a lot of amazing things since we have been here, but this was the most fulfilling ministry. We played with the kids...and as they just expected us to throw food at them and tell them to leave, we showed them a love like no other, the love of Christ! Honestly, we took so much interest in the kids they were actually a little confused. Day after day I see white tourists come in and just throw them out of the way as they walk by, and other indians smack them and kick them when they ask a tourist for money, hoping to win favour with the tourists for riding them of these nagging kids. We have constantly told them we love them and Jesus loves them and handed out fruit to them and given change whenever we have it and can spare it! This has already made an impression on them, but they still don't understand it. When we had this party we got a chance to tell them where this divine love comes from and show them more of it than ever.
We started by playing hacky sack with the kids and just hanging out with some Christian rock music on. Then we played some games, like red light/green light and "star wars". They had a great time! We sang some christian nepali songs with them and showed them the actions! They really enjoyed it and laughed as we made ourselves vulnerable and joked around with them! They have never seen people so full of joy, or thats how it seemed as they looked at each other wondering if this was all real.
Then we did a skit explaining Christianity very basically. How man chose to seperate themselves from God and Jesus came, died and rose again to reunite us with God. They loved the skit and watched intently. Afterwards, one of our goods friends (he was also our translator) shared the gospel message in words with them, he has a muslim upbringing and most of them also did. He related with them so well, and they were intently listening, more intently than I think I've ever been in church even, haha...it was seriously amazing, the Holy Spirit gripped their attention. I was in tears as he spoke, the Holy Spirit was seriously in the room in such a huge way. Then after all the nepali preaching (we had no clue what was being said) he started praying in nepali, but they were repeating with eyes closed and hands folded...We didn't really understand. But after we asked what happened. He said they all wanted Jesus and accepted him right there. The kids seemed so alive and excited right after. We prayed for them each individually and they all received the Holy Spirit, healing and blessings on their life and family! Then we had one more skit, gave them food and "loot bags" that had toys, food and necessities in them. It was such an amazing experience, the kids left on a spiritual high, and I know their families will be impacted also!
Even more exciting is that I still have a train ride, a jeep ride and a plane ride with at least a hundred people who don't know the Lord yet...Plenty of work still ahead. And when we land in Australia, I'm sure we will see at least a hundred people in the airport who don't know the Lord. And throughout my life, what...millions maybe who are lost. My outreach won't ever end. I haven't learnt a ministry, career or even a way of life...I've learnt life...period. THIS is what life is all about, and no matter where I am the lost will see the way...whether they choose it or not is up to them! I challenge you all to live with that same zeal, and I know I won't always live in it, but I always want to, and now its just if I'm willing to go against my flesh, be a living sacrifice and martyr my desires for the sake of the Kingdom of God. I will keep pushing into God until the day I die! I pray you feel the same compulsion to know God intimately and be in constant communion and fellowship with Him. There are some glorious days ahead for the Church as the body of Christ! Be prepared and know God intimately!

Peace, Love and Prayers!!

P.S. This is my last post until Australia this Saturday! Much Love...Adam ;)

Wow, Adam! Those kids will have some stories to tell, won't they? It's amazing to see people who have always been treated badly respond to love. It's my belief that most of the people we encounter in life who act negatively in any way, do so out of hurt and anger. God didn't make mankind naturally miserable and unhappy. It's other people who have done that to each other. So, what a great gift you have given them. Love AND the greatest gift of all - salvation through Jesus.

I pray that God will help you to keep your zeal for Him. But do be careful. It's when we are closest to Him that Satan tries his hardest to attack. So, be armed in the Spirit. Take care to get enough rest so you will be prepared for each new challenge.

Love,

Gwen

Wow. God is really using you and your team in places you probably never dreamed He would take you. Your experiences show the promise of God that He will never leave you or forsake you. We can see how your life has been changed in many ways. Thanks for sharing your excitment with us all. We will continue to pray for you and for your family who miss you very much. We know that not only will God continue to use you, but He will also continue to bless you greatly and supply your needs each and every day.
