Hey everyone, I'm goin through a period of training for leading these mission trips. Therefore, its a little dry for the blog. I thought I would post a friends latest mass email, to let you all know what else goes on at the base! Its never dry here, no matter what I myself am doing! Its really exciting with things always going on all around me!

Jen's Experience

WOW. I just love this life, and the thrill of knowing that I am doing the right thing. I have a few stories to tell you and I will try to keep this short, since I have a few reports to make from the past month.
On Boxing Day, we ran a week long Discipleship Training School for a bunch of high school kids from the Philippines. The theme was “resolution” …. And we saw God do some incredible things. You might say, “Like what Jen, how do you see God do incredible things?” Well, I just have to say, take my word for it. Out of the 15 kids, 2 of them came honestly saying, I don’t believe God… I don’t believe his love, I don’t believe he died to set me free. And by the second day after teaching on hearing God’s voice and Identity and destiny… they said, WOAH> I am ready to know him. In from of all their friends, they said, God, bring it on. By the 3rd night, we had a time of worship “with a twist”. Sort of a night where we set up a whole scene, a bowl to wash their hands of sin, a cross where they could write them down and nail them there… and a Holy of Holies tent set up, where they could enter the very heart of Heaven and realize that they were free from all bondage. (its sort of a visual thing…) Inside there, they ate communion, one on one with their King. Let me tell you, as I waved a red flag and declared war in the spirit for these kids… they wept. I am talking, they fell to their knees CRYING out for God. For his heart, for their freedom, for their friends. It was pretty much the most incredible thing ever as they began to pray for one another. Soon enough the night, turned into a celebration of Joy in the freedom of God. And by soon, I mean, a few hours later. We dance around, just like a bunch of crazy kids… just praising our God.
It was a total blast, and their lives were changed forever. During the week we also covered such topics as the nature and character of God, and Evangelism… as we prepared to go to the streets and into high schools with the power of our testimony!
I must mention the most amazing part of our time with these kids, were the times when we would have small group, and the girls would share openly with on another their struggles… and fears, asking for accountability. The girls would jump to encourage one another and build each other up in faith. We also discovered more of our spiritual gifting together and saw in what ways we are ready to be challenged to step out in boldness to minister to our friends.
Ha, I speak as one of the kids, because I love learning along side young people! Even when I am the one teaching them! Their faith is incredible. Never loose the faith of a child.

Shalom!
