Compromise

I've stopped sharing revelations really, and now I just share plans. So, I thought seeing how this is my online journal, I will also share what God has been teaching me lately.
Compromise reminds me of the tower of Babel. So many people believe that rather than themselves being created in the image of God, God can be created in the image of man, aka THEIR IMAGE. They bend and "out-of-contextualize" God to suit their compromise. Whether in political views, personal convictions or the softening of the gospel message! All of this is trying to be God rather than serve Him (hence the tower of Babel relation). The tower of Babel was mans attempt to reach God...without God, and in their own strength. So often we set an agenda then fit God into that agenda, rather than understanding God's agenda and living by it. Dieing to our own rights and pre/mis - conceptions.
If we bend God to the agenda of man we a create an imperfect, limited being in the eyes of others. Even to ourselves, because God can be anything we don't allow Him to be in our lives. As we yield to Him we see Him. And our minds limit Him. We basically taint Gods character with our own opinions and make Him look like an idiot! Because is more of us people see than God!

Much Love

As usual, I loved you blog and crazy enough, it was totally posted on my birthday!!! Happy 19th Birthday to me!!!
Adam, needless to say, your words always inspire me just when they need to. I remember telling you the other week that I was feeling pretty down, and reading your blogs has actually brought new hope for me working through things. I'm realizing everyday that in order to change my own situations, I need to change my relationship with God to get to that change. I have no doubt in my mind that you and I are friends for a reason and that God gave you to me to guide me back to him.
I miss you SO much and keep up with the blogs. Hopefully we'll be online at the same time soon so we can actually talk.
Miss you.
Much love.
Peace.
